The Grand Jury of Health:Angel consists of leaders in communications and healthcare industries.
Invitations to be part of the Grand Jury are declared by the Health:Angel Competition Office, the Council of Elders, the Grand Jury President or his representative.
The participation in the Grand Jury is voluntary work. Travel expenses may be reimbursed under certain conditions.
The members are listed on the competition website and may also be used for other communication activities (such as nomination proposals). To this end, the jury members provide the organizer with a current photo and a short CV for usage free of charge.
Award decisions are made primarily by the jury members at the public jury meeting. Time and place of the Grand Jury Meeting will be announced at the competition’s social media channels and at the “News” page of this website. In addition, the jury members may be invited to the public jury meeting by the Grand Jury President or representatives of the Council of Elders.
The Grand Jury President or the Council of Elders may invite a selection of finalists (shortlist) to the public jury meeting. The finalists participation at the Grand Jury Meeting is welcome, but not mandatory. There will be elevator pitches with a maximum length of 180 seconds conducted by the finalists. Following the elevator pitches, the applicant will be given the opportunity to answer questions by the jurors. The Senior President or the Grand Jury President may set special categories (such as Honorary Health:Angel) or special awards prior to the public grand jury meeting and the jury will no longer have to decide on these.
Finalists will have the opportunity of filing their elevator pitches to the HMA Cloud on the day of the Jury meeting and each juror will be granted access during the public jury meeting. At written request of the juror, access to the HMA cloud may not be established earlier than five days before the date of the public grand jury meeting. As a rule, only jurors with right of vote, participate in the public jury meeting. In justified exceptional cases, a jury member who is tied up, can submit a form within 10 days of the date of the jury meeting. This also applies to the entries which can not be presented live at the jury meeting. If a juror is not available, this has to be communicated to the Health:Angel-festival office asap before the grand jury meeting.
Jurors, who submit their own or third-party entries to Health:Angel, will be excluded from voting for these entries.
Jurors, participating in the public grand jury meeting, are invited to attend the award ceremony. For this purpose, the festival office will provide each jury member present with a free admission ticket valid for the Award Night. If applicable, active jurors can be included in the program of the award ceremony.
The jury members are ambassadors of the competition. They are invited to nominate campaigns, projects, etc. to be awarded and to communicate this to the Competition Office. Further they should support sponsoring and exhibitor acquisition actively.
Should jury members receive press inquiries, shitstorms, negative criticism related to one or more people involved in the competition, a company or association, within social networks, blogs, telephone calls or commentary functions from internet pages, abusive criticism or proposals to the competition, their answer has to be agreed by the Grand Jury President and the Chairman by Seniority . The Grand Jury President is not an authorized recipient for the competition.
Grand Jury Members are appointed for at least two years. Jurors have the right to object the admission in the evaluation commission in writing, within four weeks after publication of their name and image at the competition page. If there is no objection, jury membership can be terminated by written declaration after the minimum term at the earliest. Collected data will be deleted from the website within six months after the end of the current competition period. Printed media with mention or image of the respective jurors can be used up.
