In principle, ambassadors, sponsors, award winners or supporters of the Health Media Award have a right of nomination. Prior to COVID-19, the most promising candidates to win a Health:Angel were always invited to a live public presentation (elevator pitch) in front of the honorary grand jury. Since May 2020, this selection process has been carried out digitally for the first time and among a select group of healthcare and communications industry professionals.
