For the Health Media Award, the award for excellent communication in the health and social sectors, laureate Dr. Pierre-Michael Meier, CHCIO, has proposed the following personality – institution: Prof. Dr. Lawrence Friedman (posthumously) and the University of California San Diego Health System. The selection jury of the Health Media Award discussed the proposal on 1 July 2021 and decided to grant an award to Prof. Dr. Lawrence Friedman and the University of California San Diego Health System for their contribution to active and personal exchange on digital health between the United States of America and Germany.
