Dr. Broermann Foundation receives Health:Angel 2022

For more than 35 years, the company founded by Dr. Bernard große Broerman The foundation, which was set up in 2006, is committed to the issue of prevention and thus helps people to stay healthy for longer. Children and young people in particular are the focus of the foundation's work, for which the jury of the Health Media Awards has now awarded the foundation a Heath:Angel in the Special Category “Life‘s work” has awarded. The motto of the foundation, which was established in 1988 "being healthy is cool ... so is staying healthy!" is as true as it is catchy - and the basis for successful health communication that reaches young people.

"We don't think in quarters, but in generations: That's why disease prevention in children and young people is a matter close to our hearts.",

explains Dr. Bernard große Broerman the mission of the foundation, which rounds off his commitment as founder and sole shareholder of Asklepios Kliniken in matters of health. One exercise school alone, financially supported by the foundation, has reached more than 500,000 children over the past ten years and helped them get off to the healthiest possible start in life.

"However, individual prevention sponsorships between educational and health institutions are initiated and financially supported, especially on a small scale!"

according to the managing director Stefan T. Murfeldwho manages the operational business of the foundation. Year after year, he is able to invest a good five-digit euro amount in the foundation's goals. The foundation's commitment - and its successful communications work - convinced the independent jury of the Health Media Award.

"The foundation's long-term commitment and successful communication work ensure that many young people are reached in an exemplary manner. Successful prevention makes for a healthier life - and is fun."

said jury president Tony Westwood on the Foundation's receipt of this year's Health Media Award. The award - a brushed steel sculpture weighing approx. 2.2 kg, created by the Italian artist Massimo Bramandi from Florence - has been donated by the Health Media Award e.V. since 2018 and has been considered the "Oscar" of health communication for 15 years now.
