Health Media Award 2014: Humour included. For particularly successful projects in the health sector, the Health:Angels were awarded for the seventh time on 27 June 2014 at the KAMEHA GRAND BONN . Among the guests of honour were a number of well-known personalities. Weightlifter and Olympic champion Matthias Steiner, for example, gave a laudatory speech as an ambassador for FOCUS DIABETES. Torsten May, boxing world champion in the light heavyweight division, honoured the BARMER contribution “Germany is moving” and the former EU Health Commissioner Tonio Borg underlined the importance of the Health Media Award for Europe in his video message. Christian Meringolo with his enchanting lead singer Makeda, juggling world champion Thomas Dietz, quick-draw artist Malte von Tiesenhausen as well as Thomas Rogel, author of the heute-show (ZDF), provided excellent entertainment for the guests with their performances.
